Teen Tech Week

First of all, don't forget SWON's got plenty of Tech to Lend for Teen Tech Week. Check it out, now! And then check out the ALA's Teen Tech Week page for ideas on how to "Create It at Your Library."

From the ALA:

Create It at Your Library!

Join YALSA in celebrating Teen Tech Week March 8—12, 2015 with the theme “Create It at Your Library.”  Visit www.ala.org/teentechweek for information, planning resources, free downloadable bookmarks and posters, free webinars, and online forums to help you plan and prepare for a great event.  Teen Tech Week offers library staff the opportunity to throw open their physical and virtual doors and show teens and their families all of the great digital resources the library has to help teens succeed in school and prepare for college and careers.

About Teen Tech Week

Teen Tech Week is when libraries make the time to showcase all of the great digital resources and services that are available to help teens succeed in school and prepare for college and 21st century careers.

Celebrate the next Teen Tech Week with us, March 6-12, 2016, with the theme "Create it at your library."

This site has everything you need to plan TTW activities in your community. Demonstrate the value your library gives to the community by offering teens a space to extend learning beyond the classroom where they can explore, create and share content. Libraries can tailor the theme to show your community exactly how you connect in meaningful ways with teens in order to help them gain STEAM skills.  Help get the word out about this event with the hashtag #TTW16
