Makerspace on a Budget

A Level-Up Lab

The 3D printer may be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of “Makerspace,” but there are are lots of ways to “make” with a limited budget and even limited space. We’ll explore some of the cheaper, smaller, and easier-to-grasp tools of the maker movement and then have a chance for some hands-on fun with materials such as Sugru, moldable plastic, paper cutters and more!

Cassondra Vick

Cassondra originally hails from Nashville, TN and has worked in public libraries for almost 15 years (and even served as a library page in her high school). She has spent most of her career in Youth Services, having worked in both Young Adult and Children's Services. However, her time studying for her MLIS at the University of Kentucky ignited a passion for library tech, allowing her to turn formerly personal interests into professional ones!

She currently lives in Fort Thomas, KY with her husband and two spoiled cats and they are expecting a new, non-pet addition to the family in February. She is the Technology Educator at SWON Libraries.
