Roger Sutton

Roger Sutton has been Editor in Chief of the Horn Book, Inc. since 1996, before that serving as Editor of the BULLETIN OF THE CENTER FOR CHILDREN’S BOOKS and as a YA and children’s librarian. He has served on the Newbery, Caldecott, Wilder, Printz, Batchelder, Edwards, and National Book Award committees and has serveD as a judge three times for the New York Times Best Illustrated Books list. For young adults, Roger Sutton is the author of HEARING US OUT: VOICES FROM THE GAY AND LESBIAN COMMUNITY, and for adults, with Martha V. Parravano, A FAMILY OF READERS: THE BOOK LOVER’S GUIDE TO CHILDREN’S AND YOUNG ADULT LITERATURE. He has an MA in Library Science from the University of Chicago.
