Registration is open for PLAN’s Digitization Conference August 18-19, 2016. A full day pre-conference entitled Digitization 101 will also be offered on August 17. The conference theme is Digitization: Preserving the Past for the Future.
Join us at Florida State University’s Panama City, Florida campus. If your library or organization is involved with digitization, or planning the digitization of historical records, photos, audios, or moving images, this conference will provide both basic and advanced learning opportunities. All types of libraries and historical organizations will benefit.
Who should attend: Staff from libraries of all types, plus staff from historical & cultural heritage organizations.

Pre-Conference: The full-day pre-conference, Digitization 101, provides an introductory workshop on the use of open/free software to create, validate, index, search, display and maintain a digital archive of various materials including photographs, oral histories, newspapers and books.
