OKI 2017 will feature:

  • Rita Williams-Garcia, author of the award-winning "Gaither Sisters" books, which have garnered one Newbery Honor and three Coretta Scott King Winner medals.
  • Illustrator John Parra, award-winning illustrator, best known for his Latino themed, children’s books such as Waiting for the Biblioburro, Green is a Chile Pepper, and Gracias/Thanks.
