SWON Visits - Cincinnati Art Museum, Mary R. Schiff Library and Archives

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of a tour of the Mary R. Schiff Library and Archives at the Cincinnati Art Museum, given by its director, Galina Lewandowics.  By mid-April, the Library will be relocated to the Longworth Wing in a beautiful light-filled space available for meetings and other events. While still under construction during our tour, the space is spectacular, decorated in mid-century modern furniture with a stunning view of Cincinnati from the patio off the main reading room.  For more about the Longworth Wing, you may want to read Aaron Betsky's article in Architect (although there there are no clear photos of the library).

For more updates on the renovation and other happenings check out the Cincinnati Art Museum's Facebook page where Mr. Cherubini's image is accompanied by the phrase, "Mr. Cherubini is having his hair done in Conservation…"
