Yoga with the Masters, Touch Tour for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Muse: Edward Hopper, Aaron Copland, and America with CCM student performers – all of these are titles of programs happening at the Cincinnati Art Museum in the first two weeks of August. Each of them represents innovative programming beyond what we’d expect from a primarily visual art-focused organization. Each program introduces other senses, other parts of our psyche, in an effort to broaden and deepen our connection to art. Galina Lewandowicz, Library Director, is justifiably proud of her organization’s programming. And while those of us who are longtime residents of the city may be familiar with the traditional “Art After Dark*” which takes place the last Friday of every month and features food, drink, docent led tours and live entertainment, the museum offers much more all month long.
Galina invites our Supporting Members to come for a library tour. And if you have a group that needs a meeting place, they have meeting rooms available. SWON Libraries’ special interest groups have used them several times this past year and enjoy the meeting space and the view of Cincinnati from the library very much. Please contact Galina directly for meeting room availability, tours etc.
