New LIBLICENSE Model Agreement Available with “Create Your Own License” Software Coming Soon

For those of you who have to negotiate electronic resources, I’m sorry. Could there be any process more obscure and difficult? Well, perhaps yes, but let’s not waste time figuring out what that might be.

Great news, there’s a new release to the LIBLICENSE Project. This project provided a model agreement for institutions of any type who provide licensed electronic content to their staff, faculty, researchers and/or students. In November, the Center for Research Libraries released an updated version available here with commentary. Even better news, they plan to release an update of “Create Your Own License” software in 2015.
