Great PR for Dayton Metro Library, Xavier University and the Public Library of Cincinnati

Dayton Metro Library was featured in a local TV broadcast when hundreds of people showed up to see a 3D printer in action. The 3D printer is ours, on loan to Dayton Metro as they ready their own Makerspaces set to open later this year.

Xavier University was featured also on local media when they opened their new Center for Innovation which features over 30 3D printers. The one the library purchased with funds from SWON’s grant is in there somewhere!

The Public Library of Cincinnati opened their Makerspace at the main library downtown to much reporting as well. Our region’s first large scale public library makerspace is worth a visit.

These news features tell our new library story and that helps all libraries. They help educate the public about libraries as important places beyond book repositories. Why not arrange for a group of friends to see one or more of these efforts?
