In this edition of Emerging Techbits, NEO’s Holly Klingler shows us some great online resume tools, a site for startups, a way to make any watch smart, and an affordable drone!

  •  The new trend is online resumes – and patrons still see the library as a destination for resume assistance. Are you ready to help your patrons? Holly shares some easy-to-use sites that will create both digital and print resumes.

o   Standard Resume- http://bit.ly/1maTCW9

o   Creddle- http://bit.ly/1XWCHaV

o   CV Maker- http://bit.ly/1Y2AUvJ

o   Visual CV- http://bit.ly/1Y2BmtV

o   Resume.com- http://bit.ly/1jOnhT7

  • Many small businesses and startups also see the library as the go-to destination for assistance. Point them to Startup Stash, a “one stop shop” for startups for ideas, legal help, and more!

  • Want a smartwatch, but don’t want to give up your current favorite (or spend the money)? Try Chronos, which promises to turn any watch into a smartwatch.
  • Lastly, Holly introduces us to ONAGOfly, an indiegogo crowdsourcing project that promises functional, affordable drones for $199.
