Direct Lend

Obtaining Materials

Persons wanting to borrow loanable materials directly from other SWON Libraries members must provide a valid  photo identification card and, if requested, a SWON Libraries borrowing credential. Supporting Members may contact SWON Libraries to obtain copies of the SWON Libraries borrowing credential. With this identification, persons may borrow materials directly from SWON Libraries members, at the discretion of each member library and subject to each library’s local policies.

Direct borrowing patrons must agree to the following conditions:

  1. A SWON Libraries borrowing credential must be presented upon request in addition to a photo identification card.
  2. Patrons are subject to loan periods, fines, and policies imposed by the lending library.
  3. Patrons who borrow items directly from other SWON Libraries members are responsible for costs or fees incurred, including damage or replacement fees.

Returning Materials

The patron is responsible for returning the items to the lending library by the date due.

Member libraries agree to cooperate in the recovery of unreturned materials within the legal limitations and in accordance with their own policies.
