Databases 101

Join us as Joe Ceterski, librarian and EBSCO trainer, shows us the ropes to four popular EBSCO databases! For the first half of the day, we will learn about EBSCOhost and Consumer Reports followed by a lunch hour. When we re-adjourn, we will learn more about Learning Express Library and Novelist. Want to attend a specific session? No problem! Any attendee is welcome to join us for the part of the day that interests them the most.

Lunch will not be provided. There are a dozen food places located near the Fairfield Lane Library! If you would like to plan out your lunch, please feel free to visit this link: There are more than a dozen food choices with a mile of the library!

Who should attend?

  • Reference staff.
  • Any who help customers/patrons with research.
  • New employees as well as those looking for a refresher are welcome to join us!

Joe Ceterski is a librarian and Training Specialist for EBSCO Information Services. As the Training Specialist serving the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada, he provides online and onsite training on EBSCOhost, eBooks, EDS, and other EBSCO services. Joe received his Masters Degree in library science from the University at Albany, and has more than 20 years of library experience, working in academic and special libraries and for library consortia.


OLC accepts 4 CEUs.

KDLA accepts up to 4 CEUs.
