"Securing the Library" with Tracy Z Maleeff

Hack. Breach. Ransomware. These words appear in the news headlines daily, causing much fear and anxiety. Take a deep breath and listen to this non-technical talk from a librarian turned Cyber Analyst. Get an understanding of the Information Security vocabulary and best practices for he protection of your personal and library data. Learn what resources are available for the purposes of security news monitoring, collection development, or training. Get some insight on how to provide Information Security resources and support for your patrons. In total, understand how libraries need to be ready and aware when it comes to Information Security. You will come away from this session empowered with knowledge of how to create some defenses and deal with Information Security without fear, uncertainty, or doubt.

Tracy Z. Maleeff, @InfoSecSherpa, is a Cyber Analyst in the Security Operations Center for a global company. Prior to joining the Information Security industry, Tracy worked as a librarian in academic, corporate, and private law firm libraries.
