Children's Literature Evaluation Group (CLEAR) - NKY

Yearly dues $50 -100 (includes books): CLEAR is a group of school and public library staff serving children who meet regularly to review and share information about new children's books, which are provided by publishers via SWON. This group meets in Covington, Kentucky generally on the 2nd Thursday of even months. Upcoming dates may be subject to change.

School and Public Library Staff who serve children are welcome to join any of our CLEAR groups. Can't attend any of our existing groupsContact us for more information on forming your own CLEAR group.

  • YA Librarians
  • High School Media Specialists
  • Library Staff who work with teens

  • Collection Development and Management
  • Collections for Children
    • Builds a collection designed to meet the needs and interests of children
    • Establishes and pursues strategies to stay informed about current and relevant resources to meet children's evolving needs
    • Facilitates children's requests for information and provides accurate and appropriate answers
    • Connects children and their families with resources that encourage reading

OLC provides CEUs for CLEAR/ROYAL meetings.
