Women in STEM face challenges that begin in early adolescence and follow them throughout their careers. Because of this, they are not pursuing STEM careers, leaving the STEM workforce altogether, and failing to progress within STEM-related fields. When highly qualified women are discouraged from entering STEM fields, firms, industries, and the national economy lose billions of dollars.

In this edWebinar, Jane Kubasik and Laura Paxton Hassner discuss Engaging Women in STEM, a literature review published on behalf of the Kevin Kubasik Charitable Trust. They will cover how individuals, STEM-talented women, and employers can all cultivate and develop a STEM workforce where women thrive. Jane will present on what the Kevin Kubasik Charitable Trust sought out to learn from this research and how the findings from this paper are being applied in practical settings. Laura will walk participants through the key findings and provide promising practices for STEM employers to consider implementing and for STEM-talented women to advocate for.

This edWebinar will be of interest to teachers and school and district leaders of all levels. There will be time to get your questions answered at the end of the presentation.
