Get up to date on e-books and online reading. This informative webinar will help you learn about reading options from dedicated e-book readers to library subscription services like (Libby, Overdrive, Hoopla, RBDigital and others) to free and paid reading apps and websites for children and adults.  

We will also explore sites and apps where readers can find book reviews, book award winners, reading lists, and other reading tools.


At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will:

– know about 3 new features of library e-reading resources
– be familiar with at least 3 social cataloging tools
– be able to help patrons find free books and book reviews online
– be able to recommend up-to-date apps for readers

Kira Smith is a virtual reference provider for Florida’s Ask A Librarian Service and a seasoned webinar presenter. She has Master’s Degrees in Library Science and Education. Kira is a former public librarian, elementary school teacher and childbirth educator. She has lived in New York, Louisiana, Texas and Florida. She enjoys teaching, technology and travel.
