Level-Up Lab: How to use Minecraft @ Your Library

Tuesday, April 4th @ 2 PM - 4 PM

Clara has run a successful Minecraft Club for two years at her library branch, and has worked out all the kinks in keeping it running smoothly.  She also has run a server that the teens can access off site to play the game in partnership with for the last two years.  If you were thinking about running a Minecraft club but didn’t know where to begin, what technology is needed, or even how to play the game, this is a great place to start.

What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a popular game with children through teens. Minecraft is available on computers, tablets, and gaming consoles. It can be played in a few different ways from adventure mode to creative mode. Minecraft players can fight monsters, build virtual computers, or design cool structures, such as roller coasters, all within Minecraft.
