OKI Children's Literature Conference Award

If you’ve never been to the OKI (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana) Children’s Literature Conference, you are missing out. I have attended this local conference every year since moving to the area and simply wouldn’t miss it! This year, the conference will be focusing on how to #readlocal with keynote authors & illustrators Adam Watkins, Heather Henson, & April Pulley Sayre (from Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana respectively). We’d like to encourage our colleagues who live and work in Indiana to attend with an Indiana Award to the OKI Conference. SWON will cover the cost of Early-Bird Registration, as well as $200 toward travel and accommodations for one lucky Indiana attendee.

First, you’ll need to create an account at, if you don't already have one. You may then register for the conference at All registrants working for an institution in Indiana will be considered as entrants for the prize. Alternately, you may email to express your interest in being considered.

You will need to register or email us by October 1st, 2018 to be put into consideration. We’ll draw a name that week and inform the lucky winner by October 8th. Questions? Contact us anytime at LEU certificates will be provided for this event, and breakfast and lunch are included on the day of the conference. SWON Libraries is a blanket provider of Indiana LEUs.

Thanks and good luck!
